Isolation room
The isolation room is primarily intended for groups of patients that are infected with pathogens or high at risk for infection due to immunodeficiency.
The room area of an isolation room, similar to an intensive care room, should be about 20 -25 m². In order to prevent transmission of germs in and/or out of the isolation room, an air shower should be installed in front of the isolation room. This ensures a room air barrier of germ-free air. In addition to the air shower, a patient’s bathroom should be fitted into an adjacent room.
